Terms & Conditions of Hire

These instructions are intended to help your children have a fun time and ensure their safety. Please read and follow the safety and hire instructions:

  • It is the responsibility of the person who is hiring the inflatable to ensure that all possible steps are taken to avoid injury to others or damage to the bouncy castle/inflatable.
  • A responsible person over 18 years of age must supervise each bouncy castle, inflatable and/or other equipment at all times.
  • No adults are allowed on the inflatables unless you have hired a unit which is specified suitable for adults. Unless specified, all of our inflatables have an age limit of 12 years. It is strictly prohibited for both adults and children to be on an inflatable at the same time.
  • The inflatables must be secured to the ground at all times.
  • Under no circumstances must the unit/equipment be removed from its secure location or moved from where our technician has set it up.
  • No food, drinks or chewing gum is to be consumed on the inflatables (to avoid choking and mess).
  • All shoes, badges and jewellery (e.g. large earrings, necklaces, rings etc.) must be removed to avoid damage to the equipment and injury to other users. it is recommended that spectacles and plastic Alice bands are also removed. Adults must remove high-heeled shoes before stepping onto the mats.
  • No animals or pets are allowed on the inflatables.
  • Prestige Bouncy Castles will decide on the safest place to site your equipment. This is to ensure all hazards are taken into account and the equipment can be used safely. The set-up area must be clear of rubbish and animal 'waste'.
  • Ensure the equipment is not overcrowded and limit the numbers depending on age and size of children using it according to the recommendations printed on the equipment (near the front step on most inflatables).
  • Do not allow children to take balloons, onto the equipment (burst balloons/string can be a choking hazard). No party poppers, henna, face paint, coloured streamers, "silly string", glitter, glitter tattoos, pens, chalk, crayons or confetti is to be used on or near the equipment as they can permanently stain.
  • No water or other liquids to be poured or sprayed on to the equipment (other than a reasonable amount for cleaning purposes only) as it causes the surface of the inflatables to become slippery , damages soft play and can result in subsequent bookings being cancelled if the equipment is too wet to be delivered.
  • We will not set up in the event of high winds, including gusts over 24mph. We reserve the right to take down any inflatable during the party/event if we believe it is unsafe.
  • No smoking, barbecues, glass or naked flames of any kind on or near the equipment.
  • Reckless or boisterous behaviour must not be allowed - no colliding, pushing, fighting or behaving in a way which may cause injury or distress to others.
  • Avoid large children and small children being on the equipment at the same time.
  • Please ensure that users are not attempting somersaults. Please ensure all users are clothed appropriately and that nothing can fall out of their pockets. Socks must be worn at all times.
  • Climbing, hanging or sitting on the walls is dangerous and must not be allowed.
  • Children must use slides one at a time and must not climb not the sides of the slide. Slides should be used in the sitting position, feet first - do not allow jumping from the top of the slide.
  • Safety mats must be positioned at the bottom of the slide.
  • Ensure that mats supplied with the equipment remain where they were positioned during installation.
  • Do not allow anyone to bounce on the step/front apron of the inflatables. The step is there to help users get on and off only.
  • No one with a history back or neck problems should be allowed not the inflatables as indeed anyone that may be feeling unwell, taking medication or is pregnant.
  • Do not allow users on the inflatables during inflation/deflation.
  • Under no circumstances should the blower be switched off. The equipment is to remain inflated for the duration of the hire, this also applies if it is raining. By leaving the bouncy castle inflated, it prevents the rainwater 'pooling' on the castle and seeping through to the inside. However, in the event of strong winds/gusts (24mph+), the castle MUST be turned off immediately.
  • In the event of rain, please remove children from the inflatable and place a table or similar object over the blowers to prevent water from being blown inside the inflatable. Do not switch the blowers off. Once the rain has stopped, please ensure the entrance and exit to the inflatable are dried with a towel before children are allowed back on as they become slippery when wet.
  • Ensure that the vent on each side of the blower is kept clear at all times.
  • In the unlikely event that the equipment should fail for any reason, immediately remove children from the inflatable and call Prestige Bouncy Castles on 07900 911304. No one should try and fix or resolve the problem other than us.
  • Prestige Bouncy Castles must be advised as soon as possible in the event of injury requiring professional medical treatment. Treatment must be sought within 2 hours of the injury occurring and a detailed record of the incident and treatment must be provided to Prestige Bouncy Castles.
  • On adult equipment, adults and children must not use the equipment at the same time. Anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs (prescription or otherwise) must not use the equipment.
  • All persons using equipment supplied by Prestige Bouncy Castles do so at their own risk. The person/organisation hiring the equipment will be responsible for any damage or injury occurring from a result of misuse or reckless use. These guidelines are for the safety of all people using the equipment and it is the sole responsibility of the hirer to ensure they are adhered to. Prestige Bouncy Castles does not accept any responsibility for injury or loss to any persons sustained through the use of our equipment.
  • Inflatables can only be used on real grass if being hired for outdoor use. This is due to us needing to peg the equipment into the ground. Pegs are not required for indoor hires.
  • Our equipment can only be set up/used in private gardens or in a venue that you have hired. We are unable to set up any equipment in communal areas i.e. communal gardens, parks etc.
  • Equipment will only be collected by the person who delivered it to you or by a member of staff in Prestige Bouncy castles uniform. NEVER let anyone else leave with the equipment. If you are in any doubt, please call us immediately on 07900 911304. The Hirer is responsible for all equipment until Prestige Bouncy Castles have collected.
  • We require external access to your outdoor set up area via a gate or alleyway. If this is not possible and we therefore need to go through/ inside any property including garages, utility rooms, sheds or through a house/property with our equipment, Prestige Bouncy Castles will not accept any responsibility for any damage that occurs as a result of this. This is a risk that the customer takes or we will refuse delivery.
  • Please make sure access is clear and ready for delivery and collection as we operate a tight schedule and require immediate access.
  • In hot weather, please ensure anyone using the equipment is wearing socks and that skin is covered to avoid friction burns (mainly from slides). We recommend arms and legs are covered to avoid friction burns.
  • Please keep soft play on the mats provided. Please don't use it to sit on or eat on.
  • Please have the equipment ready for collection in the same way as it was delivered to you. Please ensure no equipment is lost or damaged and that all soft play sets/games are complete.
  • If the equipment hired is left in a dirty condition including face paint, glitter, food etc. you will be charged a fee for cleaning per inflatable/item upon collection. The amount will depend on how dirty the equipment is and to what level it needs to be cleaned. If the equipment is damaged, you will receive an invoice for repair. If the equipment is damaged beyond repair, you will receive an invoice for a replacement item. Prestige Bouncy Castles asks that the inflatable is left switched on until collection so it can be checked before wrapping it up. Please clean the equipment should it get dirty, prior to us collecting.
  • If Prestige Bouncy Castles is left waiting for 15 minutes or more, we may need to refuse delivery and leave as this has an impact on other customers bookings. Full payment will still be required.
  • We require parking close to the drop-off venue. If your venue has no parking and we park on a private road, double yellow lines etc as a result and a fine is issued, you will be liable to pay. please ensure your venue had adequate parking.
  • For school bookings, we will need to be able to drive directly on to the school field.
  • In the event of an electrical failure i.e. a power cut or the building's electrics not being of sufficient power, no refunds will be made. We need access to one mains power socket per blower. We use one lead to each socket per blower and every inflatable requires it's own blower. if you have hired our Truck Obstacle course, this requires two blowers. if you hire a generator (from an outside company) to power our equipment, we take no responsibility for the generator should it fail upon hire and the inflatables go down. Please make sure that the generator is powerful enough to power the inflatables you have hired. Please let us know prior to delivery if you have hired a generator so that we can bring required leads etc.
  • If the Hirer cancels on arrival or we have to cancel upon arrival (i.e. the set up area is not big enough for the ordered equipment or the garden is not clear i.e. rubbish/animal waste), you will be charged the full hire fee.
  • Please make sure the equipment will fit in the required space prior to booking. Measurements can be found on the website. if the equipment doesn't fit on arrival, the balance will be required to cover costs.
  • If your venue has a height barrier, please ,make sure this is open prior to our arrival as we need to get as close to the venue as possible with our equipment.
  • If hiring a ball pit, please make sure all balls are back in the bags by the time Prestige Bouncy castles arrives to collect.
  • If you have hired soft play for outdoor use and it has been forecast to rain or is raining, a gazebo with sides will need to be ready for when we arrive for set-up. If this is not possible, the soft play will need to be set up indoors. the ground must be dry for soft play to be used outside.
  • Please make Prestige Bouncy castles aware of any underground wires/pipes as we will not be held responsible for any damage whilst pegging the units into the ground.
  • We reserve he right to cancel a booking if we deem it to be unsafe i.e heavy rain, wind speeds in excess of 24mph, location is too small or unsafe or the set up area is unsuitable to leave the equipment safely. In the rare event that this happens, we will transfer your booking and any payment already made to a future date.
  • If the hirer cancels ON arrival or we have to cancel due to not being enough space, set up area dirty, you will be charged the full hire fee for loss of hire, loss of time and wages.
  • if the hirer cancels within a month of the booking date, no refund will be made of any monies you have already paid and we will require 50% of any outstanding balance. This is due to equipment being reserved only to you and we will therefore be at a loss - parties are planned in advance and we won't be able to re-hire the equipment in that time frame.
  • If you have a booking and wish to amend it to something of a lower value within 1 month of your event, the booking fee for that item is not transferable to your new booking. You will have to make a new booking and pay a new booking fee. This is due to the item which you had originally booked being reserved to only you, which means we will not be able to re-hire it within that timeframe.
  • If the hirer cancels within 2 weeks of the booking date, you will be required to pay the full amount of any remaining balance. We staff our days according to the amount of jobs we have; should these be cancelled at the last minute we still have staff costs which need to be covered.
  • If you cancel on the day or up to 24hrs before your event, full payment is required. It is at Prestige Bouncy Castles discretion whether we allow the booking to be moved to another date. This is due to the van being preloaded, routs planned and staff wages.
  • You can move any bookings once to another date within one year of original booking date. If you need to cancel, the above cancellation policy still applies with regard to any money owed.
  • Prestige Bouncy Castles will have the final decision in every matter.
